How much does routine tree maintenance cost?
It depends entirely on tree count, size, access and how much work is genuinely needed. We visit for free, give you a clear itemised quote, and you decide how much to do.
Do I need council permission for routine pruning?
Yes if the tree has a TPO or is in a conservation area — even for maintenance. We handle the application or notification on your behalf as standard, though you're welcome to do it yourself if you'd prefer.
Will pruning hurt my tree?
Not when done correctly. Small, well-placed cuts on the right species at the right time of year seal cleanly and are part of normal life for a mature tree.
Can you set up a regular maintenance cycle?
Yes — annually or every 2–3 years, depending on the trees. Some clients like a scheduled visit; others prefer a phone call in autumn to book work in.
Do you provide written reports for landlords or estate managers?
Yes. For commercial and portfolio clients we provide a written summary with recommendations and priorities that can be filed with wider property records.
What happens to the arisings from maintenance work?
All removed under our Environment Agency waste carrier registration. Chippings can be left as mulch on request; logs can be left for firewood.
